Snapshots from a Grandkid-Horse Day

One of the horses who lives at our place is a "vintage" mustang gelding named Corky. He retired late last year from a 20-year career as an outfitter guest horse, and now does duty as a grandkid horse for my friend Shelley.

Two of  Corky's four wee peeps, Camryn and Kellen, came to visit him today with Shelley and their mom, Marae.

Extra oats! Corky is all for that.

Extra fun for me. I love watching little kids get to experience a horse.

Can't put a price on a horse like that.

Juli...I have not stopped by in awhile. Checked out everything to get caught up. As usual, you have a very informative site. I am another person who has been getting your magazine for years. My grandkids are very much interested in our horses, and all have ridden. They have also learned to enjoy doing chores with me.

Sounds like you are very thorough in bringing a young horse along.
