Happy Independence Day Holiday, Everyone!

I just love the Independence Day holiday, don't you? Wishing you all as much sun and fun as you can pack in by Monday.

Today is my husband Ed's birthday, and we are spending it at our trusty cabin. I dragged an old yard sale bed out of the shed, and set it up as an Independence-themed flower bed--for the benefit of the drive-by celebrators. We'll also get in some saddle time, some fishing time, and some saddle time.

How about you?

Happy Birthday Ed. We just got back from birthday dinner for William's birthday. If I'd have read this first, would have toasted your too. Also had a beautiful fireworks display right behind the hotel here in Jackson, MS, so got to celebrate with that too.

Well our holiday was Wednesday (Canada Day July 1st) I had a double header barrel racing jackpot/fundraiser for our barrel club. I entered my new horse and my "old guy" in both jackpots plus the new guy in poles, just to see how he'd do.
Lots of fresh air, sunshine, a break from visiting hubby in the hospital and a name for the new horse! It was a great day.

Have an awesome 4th of July and Happy b-day to Ed.

Trying to stay cool and try and socialize the new dog.
Triple digit temps and the AC went out last night. Thank goodness the guy is supposed to come today.

Hauling hay. Not sure why but it seems like the hay is always ready on the 4th holiday. Well, it will be done and not have to worry about it the rest of the year.

Happy BD to Ed and hope you all have a happy and safe holiday.

Juli, this is too cute! I have a feeling you might be a good antique-ing buddy. From all your pictures, I'm beginning to see we have very similar taste!

I would be a dangerous antique-ing buddy, if you want to know the truth.

Have truck, will shop to fill!
