Are These Almost Too Cute to Put on a Horse?

As a lover of all things vintage, especially fabrics and lithography, I have to give you a peek at these saddle pads made from vintage blankets.
They are made by Nancy DeWeir Geaney of Dark Horse Farm Designs, Wilton, CT, and I was made aware of them by my friend MaryJane Butters.
The wagon-wheel Western one--which I have added to the cowgirl trailer's decor--has silver conchos at the rear corners. The pink pad has English styling.
I think these are just about the cutest things ever. So much so that I'm not sure I can stand to let them get horse-sweat dirty!

I love them! Buy two - one for my horse (if I owned one) and one for my house decor!
Hi, Juli. They do pretty well in the washer on cold and air dried, then fluffed in the dryer for a few minutes. I try to dry brush them in between rides and avoid washing too often, but the fabrics/ blankets have all been pre-washed. So glad you like them... the dressage and HJ set around here in Connecticut don't quite know what to think of them. I say, "Hey- Live a little!"
Happy Trails.
Nancy
Too cute for dirty ponies but perfect for the trailer.
They will look great in your cowgirl house and also in the condo at the pony club grounds. I'll just have to bring you a bottle of the Idaho wine we are selling (and raffling) at the national banquet to celebrate at the trail ride with. The Appaloosas on the label will go great with the new table cloth.
oh WOWZER! how cute are those!
First, Nancy,,,your creativity with re-purposing old blankets into new is sooo or should I say, 'sew' inspiring!
Juli,,,my bad for not fussing (or stealing them from your camp site this past weekend) over them!
And I love that MaryJane finds all these talented women,,,especially with busy schedule.
Happy Trails to you and yes,,,,do use them.....
