Caught on Camera, Outside the Front Door

Our house is sited such that most of the horse pasture is visible right out the front door. A couple of the ol' ponies happened to be within camera range, so I captured 'em.
The roan is Corky, and the bay is Lightning Bug. They're the furloughed outfitter horses purchased last fall by friends.
As you can see, they both wintered well...and for kicks, I'll throw in a photo of them at hard at work in their previous career.
Would you guess that Corky is almost 30 years old? That is one hardy little mustang!

That is the view I am searching for. Hopefully this is the year we find our place.
I had a red roan like that, and when she would shed in the spring she would get real light colored, and vice versa in the fall. Do most roans do that? I now have a dark brown and one that everybody calls gray but he looks white with some dappling to me!
I can see my front pasture from my office and the corral and barn from my kitchen window. I have many pictured like this captured off my deck or porch. I love having my horses so close, too.
