Some Equine Eye Candy For You (Me, Too)
This may look like a mare strolling her foal at the beach, but the "beachfront property" is actually a strip of dry ground on my brother and sister-in-law's farm near Fargo, North Dakota. The body of water is river overflow lapping at the edge of the road into their barnyard, and the foal is the same Appaloosa newcomer from a couple of posts ago.Ed and I aren't raising foals at present, so we have to get our foal-fix by enjoying ones raised by others. (Very handy in that regard to have relatives who remain as breeders.)
This little beach bum has been given the barn name of Smitty--because he was born on our Grandpa Smith's birthday, April 2, and because Smitty was Grandpa's nickname.
Cute, cute, cute--by any name at all!

Wow, they must be very happy with that little guy. I love the photo. Now, if I could just kiss that little head, & smell him... (It's a baby thing, a horse thing, and I guess a baby-horse thing for me :)
OH he is adorable! What a cutie!
That water is pretty scary stuff!
He has an exquisite head!
I was hoping we'd get to see some baby pics!
Hope your family is doing okay with the flooding. Red River is expected to hit its peak in Manitoba (our 'next door neighbour' province) late this week/early next.
Who can resist a little spotted heinie? Not me.
Ha! i like Smitty! Good name!

Maybe your fellow bloggers do not realize that your brother has a dike around his home. I assume this is just a little water and not "Lake Fargo". Husband is back building dikes again as they have said we are having another crest. UGH
Tell Mark that baby is really cute and we have "Ocean Front Property"
we might be interested in selling. LOL
