Awww, what a humble little face! Adorable horse, even though somebody went a little crazy with the clippers...If H&R ever decides to feature the 'reality horse' on the cover (you know, the one I'm talkin' about; long eyelashes, scruffy ears, shaggy winter coat, whiskers to make Santa Claus jealous, and a bushy mane that makes 1980's hair look tame), you're more than welcome to use my horses for the cover. I think I've even discovered a wayward french fry stuck in a mane(trust me, its better to find it stuck in my horses mane than in my 4yo son's nostril *sigh*)
The topics are appealing...I try to make my vet's sanity as stable (no pun intended)as possible, I've been through an unbelievable horse search that has left me feeling rather nasty towards sellers, and yup...I've shaken my head a time or two over trainers.
Sounds interesting!
Well, since I can't go back and edit, I thought I'd just add that the gift suggestions should be good, too. I've been having the worst time trying to figure out what to do for my daughter (she's at that weird '12' stage- not really childish, but not ready to be all grown up, yet. I've leafed through a couple of catalogs that have come in the mail- it looks like there could be some really cute ideas (BTW- has anybody seen the new color coordinated supplies? Matching overreach boots, support boots, hay bags, tack organizers, the whole gamut in pretty nifty patterns!)
IMO this cover is very eye-catching.
As per usual the blurbs make most of the articles look like ones that would be of interest to me.
I'm eagerly awaiting my issue :)
Oh, I heard a rumour that Mikey and/or the blind horse from the auction will be in this issue. Any truth to that?
My December column, called "Blind Faith," is about Mikey and her rescue of the blind horse.
I have no real opinion of the cover photo one way or another. I'm interested in the article about ground poles and the one about what the vet wants you to know. Other stuff, not so much, but I always enjoy the regular columns and features, so I would still buy it.
I recieved mine in the mail on Mon. great magazine as usual, you all do a great job. I went through it cover to cover and will go back to read or reread more articles. The cover is beautiful, the saddle blanket is a little distracting.
This is a gret cover, neat and clean pony, ears up, nothing wild or too weird about it, not too clean, not too scruffy, ( I'd like to know how Shannon7 got a french fry stuck in a mane...)
Articles that would be of interest- ground poles, Psycho trainers, and of course MIKEY!!
I'll go buy it!
I especially enjoyed the article written by a veterinarian about what your vet wants you to know. Can all to well relate to that. It was very well written!
Love H & R. Look forward to finding it in my mailbox.
Not my favorite one, but I read it for the articles!
