A Good Day for Getting Back in the Saddle

It was a sunny if breezy day today, perfect for a late-fall ride, so I grabbed Tank, Shelley saddled up her new horse Corky, and we took off into the beautiful rolling hills that extend out north of our property.

Pure pleasure!

And, just what the doctor ordered as decompression from my busted-up/stranded adventure in Montana.

Beautiful! I wanna come and ride at your place, but in the summer, please. You can come here and ride in the winter, many days in just jeans and a long-sleeved shirt.

We were promised weather in the 50's yesterday, but I don't think it made it that high. Trailered over to our "urban park" located in city limits. Rifle season is going on right now, so no where to safely ride in rural areas. Not many "close to 50 degree" days left here in Nebraska before the big freeze. Catching as many rides as we can.

You pictures are very nice. Looks like an awesome place to ride.

We do have great riding areas here (this is right out behind our barn), but there are many other parts of the country I have yet to ride, and would like to.

For instance, I am really intrigued by the riding landscape between Glendive and Miles City, Montana.
Or that around Medora, North Dakota. Vast, open spaces that just beg to be ridden in.
