You-Are-There: Mikey's Mission of Mercy

Knowing that a number of people are now following the saga of The Horse Nobody Wanted (see the two previous posts with that title), I'm going to take you to where I first saw it, and to where it's being fostered now, until Mikey, from Arizona, can pick it up, and take it to Shiloh Horse Rescue in Nevada. (From this photo's POV, you'll understand why I didn't get to learn the blind horse's gender).

This is a catwalk-view of the auction yard pens. When I first saw the blind horse and snapped its picture, it was in a pen off-camera, to stage left. The sale ring and scale are to stage right.

Mikey, this is where you're headed. Well-wishers, here's where to send your good vibes. Sometime Saturday, provided Mikey's schedule goes as planned, this is where we'll be meeting up.

To be continued.

I've never met Mikey in person but from what I read on her blog she's an awesome lady.
I'm sure you'll have a great conversation at your first meeting with her.

I'm just doing my final stuff today, gassing up, oil has been changed, trailer is good to go, tire pressures check. Check, check, check! Hay, several size halters.. everything I might forget! Farrier tools...

I'm ready! I leave in the wee hours. Can't wait to see you Juli! Thanks for blogging about it, I won't be able to until I get back. I'm so excited to get on the road, it's all I can do not to leave right now.

Thank you for checking in here, Jill, and double thank-you for agreeing to take the blind horse. Wonderful to hear from you.

So the blind horse is a mare? I couldn't tell about the gender. Good to know.

Please feel free to link back here from your site.

Meanwhile, you can count on me for sponsoring the first month of her care at Shiloh.
