Barbaro Documentary Re-Scheduled (again)
First it was hockey. Tonight it was poker. They pre-empted the Barbaro documentary for TV poker?
NBC Sports is now saying that the one-hour Barbaro documentary (which was scheduled to air tonight) will be telecast tomorrow (Saturday, May 5th) night at 8 p.m. ET.
ESPN and ESPN2 will have practically a full day of racing speculation and coverage tomorrow (Saturday), beginning at 5:30 a.m. with a break from 9 a.m. to noon. Their afternoon broadcast from Churchill Downs will then yield to NBC at 5 p.m. for the coverage of the Derby itself.

Well, I'll believe it when I see it. NBC has a hockey game scheduled today right before the Kentucky Derby. Will they pre-empt the Derby because the hockey game always runs over with its interminable overtimes and time outs? They say "Barbaro" will be on at 8PM, but I'm sure they could find another "sport" to pre-empt it. (Beach Blanket Bingo?)
NBC has a very horsey weekend with the Derby this afternoon, the Barbaro documentary tonight, and the Rolex coverage tomorrow. This reminds me of the Olympic equestrian coverage: you're never sure when or if it is on, but if you turn the tv off, that's when it will be on!
It was on! I watched (and loved) it. Anyone else catch it? What did you think?
